About KONY
The Kodály Organization of New York enjoys twenty–two years of leadership in music education. KONY provides a forum for music teachers who wish to teach according to the Kodály concept. Every year KONY presents three workshops featuring top musicians from around the world and a well-received choral festival involving choruses from the tri-state area.

To become a KONY member you simply join OAKE and choose KONY as your Chapter Affiliation. KONY members will receive the Kodály Envoy - OAKE's quarterly journal plus three issues of KONY News.

2nd Annual FREE Workshop Hello Fellow Music Teachers!! I hope everyone is having a great start to their school year. Last year, KONY offered a free workshop to start the school year. It was such a huge success that we decided to do it again! Please mark your calendars for our 2nd Annual FREE Workshop on Sunday, October 2nd at Columbia Grammar and Prep School. Susan Mislove-Donnelly is going to come back to show us more on the SMARTBoard. So, if you are interested in having a SMARTBoard in your classroom, or you already have one, but are looking for more ideas, come to this workshop! FREE breakfast and registration will be at 9:30AM, and the workshop will begin at 10:00AM and go until 12:00PM. I will send more information on the day's activities soon.
